If Your Inventory Is Not Up to Date Your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Could Be Off
Let’s say that you are selling a new product on Shopify.
Shopify will add the sales receipts, but it does not know how many goods you sold on other channels, such as Amazon. Thus, if you are selling on multiple selling channels, your inventory will not be reconciled. This will lead to errors in your COGS, as well as the rest of your books.
If you update your inventory manually in Quickbooks and Shopify (like most business owners), it is time-consuming and error-prone.
How can you make sure that your inventory on Quickbooks and Shopify are synced so you can focus on growing your business?
